Wisse Kommunikatie in Top 100 of best Dutch service providers

The Top 100 of best Dutch service providers, traditionally published in December, puts Wisse Kommunikatie in place 48, a surprising position for a medium-sized communications agency. In the Top 10 of best service providers in communication consultancy we occupy a shared fifth place, ahead of international colleagues such as Porter Novelli, Fleishman Hillard, Burson Marsteller and Weber Shandwick. The ranking is compiled annually on behalf of Management Team, one of the largest management journals in the Netherlands.

‘We are very surprised by our high position in the ranking’, says managing partner Theo Snijders. ‘Wisse Kommunikatie mostly operates in the business-to-business segment and mainly works for technology companies in IT, industry, transport & logistics, healthcare and energy. This might make us somewhat less visible to the general public. Fortunately, this shows that businesses do know who we are and value the quality of our service provision high enough to vote us into the Top 10 of communications agencies.’ In the Top 100, we finished ahead of companies such as PwC Consulting, Mc Kinsey & Company, AT Kearney and EY.

The rankings are compiled annually by InScope, a research institute linked to Erasmus University Rotterdam. The respondents are not only requested to name the corporate service providers they know but also to assess them on customer orientation, excellent execution and product leadership. In addition, they are asked to indicate which service providers they would recommend.

‘Our services are highly diverse’, Serge Beckers, the other managing partner, adds. ‘They range from PR, media relations and crisis communication to the production of means of communication such as press releases, newsletters, websites and social media. But we always work according to a clear strategy based on concrete targets and clear key messages. It is probably no coincidence that we are in the Top 10, among the Dutch branch offices of five international communications agencies, since we have been part of the largest international network of PR agencies, the Worldcom PR Group, for almost thirty years. This network is a collaboration of multiple PR agencies to serve large international clients worldwide. Moreover, we have also had our own branch office in Brussels since 1997 to meet the many requests from foreign companies that we serve the entire Benelux territory.’

The high ranking on the list of best Dutch service providers is a nice present for 2017, when Wisse Kommunikatie celebrates its 35th birthday. In recent years and despite general economic headwind, the agency has steadily grown to include 13 employees, making it one of the largest communications agencies in the Eastern Netherlands.
