Wisse Kommunikatie was commissioned by the Province of Gelderland to manage communication for the I-AT project. The Interreg Automated Transport project, in full, aims to gain experience with self-driving vehicles and gather more information about potential business cases, technical requirements and necessary legislation and regulations. The I-AT project covers parts of the Netherlands and Germany, allowing for the collection of unique information on the deployment of cross-border, self-driving transport and the international agreements that need to be made to achieve this type of transport.
The I-AT project comprises four Living Labs, where self-driving vehicles are tested. Test projects using self-driving shuttle transport are underway at Weeze Airport near Düsseldorf that’s traveling on a bus route between Aachen (Germany) and Vaals (Netherlands).
The Province was looking for a communication manager for the remainder of the project, which will be from now till the middle of 2021. Managing partner Theo Snijders, who has been involved in several large projects concerning mobility and logistics, will consult on and coordinate the communication activities. These activities include the communication approach, website management, event organization and media relations.
